Never Turn Away
How does all that we find difficult, frightening or challenging become transformed into the food of the Dharma, into that which spiritually nourishes us and enables our life to blossom? In turning away from the karma we are also turning away from the Refuge and from our own real needs. This always results in suffering. We explore the process of acceptance and turning the stream of compassion within.
As is traditional at this time of year we conclude with a simple ceremony of Offering the Food of the Dharma to all that feels lost or alone, whether it be within ourselves or elsewhere. Guests are welcome to bring food offerings.

Autumn Retreat
An opportunity to put everything down and turn the gaze within, making ourselves fully available to the teaching that arises from our own hearts. When we offer ourselves in this way a stillness settles deep within us and every part of our being is both content to 'just be' and ready to hear and respond should anything arise that needs our acceptance or attention.

Buddha's Enlightenment
A Buddha is an Awakened One. In celebrating Shakyamuni's Enlightenment we also celebrate our own potential. We look at what it means to 'wake up' and how the Buddhist teaching helps us to see that we can realise that potential by trusting the Refuge and looking deeply into the nature of our own humanity. Concludes with the Ceremony of Buddha's Enlightenment. |

Going On
At the beginning of a new year we look at what it means for each one of us to 'go on'. What is the next step in our individual training, where does the path forward lie and what do we need to do in order to walk it? |

The Heart of the Precepts
We look at the heart and spirit of the Precepts and at how the highest Precept is to take Refuge in Buddha, (meditation), for this is the source of both the Precepts and the awareness which enables us to see when it is good to do, or not do, something.
Concludes with a Ceremony of Gratitude and a Communal Reading of the Precepts. |

Letting Go and Opening Up
'Sit still and let go' is one half of the step, 'open up and receive' is the other. Letting go is a profound activity which makes much possible. We explore both its aspects in depth and look at how, without it, there can be no 'going on', no resolving of our karma and no peace of mind.
